Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free Plan
The ProofBeer Free (Starter) plan is available at no cost. There are no charges, no credit card required, and no cancellation necessary. You can stop using the free plan at any time without any action required.
2. Paid Plans
ProofBeer paid plans (Growth and Agency) are billed on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected billing cycle. All prices are in USD.
- Monthly billing: You are charged at the start of each billing cycle. Your plan renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Annual billing: You are charged once for the full year at a discounted rate. No partial refunds are issued for unused months within a paid annual term.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at hello@proofbeer.com.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- You retain full access to your paid plan features until the billing period ends.
- After cancellation, your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan.
- Your data (forms, responses, widget configurations) is retained on the Free plan subject to Free plan limits. Data exceeding free plan limits may become read-only.
4. Refunds
We offer refunds in the following circumstances:
- 7-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription, contact us within 7 days of your first charge and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
- Service outage: If ProofBeer experiences a verified service outage of more than 24 consecutive hours that significantly impacts your ability to use the platform, you may request a pro-rated credit for the affected period.
- Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a billing error on our part, we will issue a full refund of the erroneous charge.
Refunds are not issued for:
- Partial months of service after the 7-day window
- Annual plans (except within the 7-day window from first purchase)
- Accounts suspended for violations of our Acceptable Use Policy
- Unused features or integrations within a paid plan
5. Plan Downgrades and Upgrades
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings.
- Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
- Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep the higher-tier features until then.
6. Account Deletion
If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, you can request account deletion by emailing hello@proofbeer.com. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All forms, responses, widgets, and workspace data will be permanently removed within 30 days of the request.
Cancelling a paid subscription does not delete your account. You must explicitly request account deletion if you want your data removed.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at hello@proofbeer.com with your account email address and a brief description of the reason. We process eligible refund requests within 5 business days.
