ProofBeer is an all-in-one social proof platform for websites. It combines AI-assisted feedback forms, automatic Google, Facebook and Instagram review sync, and embeddable testimonial widgets in one dashboard. ProofBeer is software and is not related to beer or alcohol.

Pick your platform

Every ProofBeer widget and form installs by pasting one snippet into an embed or custom-code block. The steps differ slightly by platform.

Shopify: add the snippet to a Custom Liquid or Custom HTML section, or a theme template, to show reviews on product pages, the homepage or a testimonials page. WooCommerce: use a Custom HTML block in the product, cart or shop page, or a theme hook, to place reviews near the add-to-cart button. WordPress: paste the snippet in a Custom HTML block; no plugin is needed. Webflow: use an Embed element, or custom code in page settings. Wix: add an Embed HTML element and size it to the widget. Squarespace: use a Code block (check your plan allows code injection). Framer: use an Embed component or custom code. Kajabi: paste the snippet in a custom code block on landing and sales pages.

Using any other site

If your platform accepts custom HTML, the same snippet works. Paste it where you want the widget to appear, save, and refresh the page.

Install checklist

  1. Create or choose a widget and copy the embed snippet. 2. Paste it into your platform's embed block. 3. Publish the page and view it in a private window. 4. Check that reviews show and the layout fits on mobile. 5. If it does not load, see the troubleshooting section of your platform guide.

Common issues

A page builder that strips scripts; a plan that blocks custom code; a content security policy that blocks the widget domain; or caching that shows an old version. Each platform guide lists the fixes.

Email support@proofbeer.com with the page URL and your platform and we will help you get it working.

Which installation route should you use?

Embed block (most common): paste the snippet into an HTML, embed or code block. It needs no plugin and works on nearly every builder. Choose this unless you have a reason not to. Theme or template edit: add the snippet to a theme file or template so a widget appears on every product or post automatically. Best for stores with many pages. Keep a backup and test on a staging copy first. Header or footer code injection: needed only if you want a script to load site-wide. Not required for normal widgets.

Testing checklist after installing

  1. View the live page in a private window. 2. Check desktop and mobile. 3. Confirm the widget shows the reviews you chose and that hidden reviews are not visible. 4. Click the links in the widget. 5. Run PageSpeed Insights before and after. 6. Check that your cookie banner and privacy notice mention the widget if you collect data from visitors in regions that require consent.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add ProofBeer to my website?

Copy the embed snippet from your widget or form in ProofBeer, then paste it into an HTML, embed or custom code block on your site and publish. Guides cover Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and Kajabi. Any platform that accepts custom HTML can run the widget.

Do I need a plugin to install ProofBeer on WordPress?

No. On WordPress you paste the ProofBeer snippet into a Custom HTML block, so no plugin is required. This keeps your site lighter and avoids plugin conflicts. The WordPress guide shows where to place the block and how to fix a widget that does not appear.

Does ProofBeer work on Shopify?

Yes. Add the snippet to a Custom Liquid or Custom HTML section, or to a theme template, to display widgets on product pages, the homepage or a testimonials page. The Shopify guide covers three high-impact placements and fixes for common theme problems.

Why is my widget not showing after I pasted the code?

Common causes are a builder that strips scripts, a plan that blocks custom code, caching, or a content security policy. Publish the page, hard-refresh in a private window and check the platform guide's troubleshooting section. Squarespace, for example, needs a plan that allows code blocks. If it still fails, email support with the page URL.

Which platforms does ProofBeer support?

ProofBeer provides guides for Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and Kajabi, and the snippet works on any site that accepts custom HTML. Reviews can be synced from Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Trustpilot and Product Hunt, subject to plan limits and each platform's own rules.

Is there help if I get stuck?

Yes. Each platform guide includes troubleshooting, and you can email support@proofbeer.com with the page URL and your platform. Pro and Advanced plans include priority support, and Advanced includes custom onboarding and a dedicated account manager. The team aims to reply within 24 hours.
